Start with one movement
Choose a movement you want to work on. You can practise at home, outdoors or on court. Use a clear space with enough room for your full movement, away from people and breakable objects. Film a short sequence of comfortable repetitions.
Keep the whole movement in view
Place the phone securely outside your movement area. Check that your feet, body, racket and contact area remain visible throughout the shot. Make a test recording before the practice starts. Avoid filming into strong light or through reflections that hide the movement.
Ask before recording
Get agreement from anyone who will appear in the clip. At a club, also check its recording rules. Avoid recording unrelated players or spectators. Don’t put a tripod, bag or phone where someone could run into it.
Make the comparison useful
If you record again, use a similar camera position, distance and drill. Changing the angle can make the same movement look different. Keep notes about what you were trying rather than relying on a score.
Bring a question
Watch the clip once at normal speed. Pick a moment you don’t understand and ask a qualified coach about it. A video can help you notice something; it cannot show every cause or replace the context of a lesson.
