Build a more controlled bandeja.

A bandeja is commonly used as a defensive overhead to help keep net position, rather than as an all-out smash.

Turn and move early

When reviewing a clip, ask whether the early turn and movement are visible before the overhead. Shadow practice can show preparation, but not ball flight.

Contact in front

Use the clip to ask where contact appears relative to the body. Treat it as a question for a coach, not a diagnosis from one frame.

Recover after the shot

Notice what happens after the bandeja and whether the recovery is visible. A comparable camera angle helps make the next review useful.

Good questions.

Can I practise a bandeja at home?

You can rehearse preparation and recovery without a ball where it is safe; you cannot validate ball flight there.

Should I hit every overhead hard?

No. The bandeja is often used for control and keeping position, not simply power.
